My research in the Mexican Riviera Maya in February and March 2022 was insightful, exciting, and informative. That trip truly marked an important milestone for my project! I was able to work as a beach-cleaner (a Sisyphean-task, I can report), met with my colleagues from Mexico City to push forward our collaboration, and learned from fishermen how badly Sargassum impacts their everyday life. I look forward to returning in August!
